Brief of Accident and Death Care Cell:

The Accident and Death Care Cell, constituted and officially launched in 2002 has been functioning for the past 8 years in and around Chennai City. It has done a pioneer job in serving humanity. ADCC in association with CCTP, has rendered personal assistance to over three thousand accident victims. It has procured ambulances for the accident victims at free of cost.

Accident scene alert program: Awareness campaigns were conducted since 2003 at various places in Place in Chennai City. It played an important role in improving the traffic system and preventing accident to a great extent .Disposal of unidentified dead bodies : With the help of various organizations as many ass three thousand unidentified cadavers has been cleared from government hospitals and cremated . ADCC has also helped the public in transportation of their deceased by various modes of transport to the respective places.

The Various programs conducted so far are as follows:

  3. Release of hand book “Prevent Accident and Prevent Crime”2004.
  4. Golden hour Awareness Campaign 2004-07.
  5. Release of Tamil Version “Vibathai Thaduppom Uyirai Kappam”2004PROGRAM.
  6. Conducted so many cataract surgery camp, blood donation for accident victims and emergency patient is its routine work.
  7. Released teleflim for social cause “THE BIRTH”.
  8. “Anti dowry awareness” programs conducted in various places.
  9. “ASAP”-save a life program conducted 2003 and 2008 in all over the city.

Legal Aspects:

There is no need to delay the golden hour of any accident victims fearing harassment at the hands of officials as our Honorable Supreme court has clearly stated that the police or doctor should not harass the one who helps an unknown accident victim and as per the act the helper can claim Rs 100 from the constable in charge for the expenses met out to him where in the Constable can have reimbursement from the transport and shipping department(govt of India).
